1. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to purchase transactions for Bcseedsdepot platform trucks supplied by JED Trolley where these return terms form part of the applicable order documentation. It should be read together with the Terms of Use and Sale and any product-specific or order-specific commercial terms communicated before an order is accepted.
Consumer-protection requirements in Canada can vary by province or territory. Nothing in this policy limits a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or waived.
2. Change-of-mind returns
Canadian law does not provide one uniform, general right to return every retail purchase simply because a customer changes their mind. For that reason, a non-defective product is not automatically eligible for return after delivery unless a return right was expressly included in the accepted order terms or applicable law requires otherwise.
If you wish to request a return for a non-defective product, contact us before sending the item back. We will review the product, configuration, order status and circumstances and will tell you whether a return can be authorized and what conditions apply.
3. Order cancellations before dispatch
If you want to cancel an order that has not yet been dispatched, contact JED Trolley as soon as possible. We will review whether fulfilment, sourcing, preparation or carrier arrangements have already begun and confirm whether the order can be cancelled.
Where a mandatory statutory cancellation right applies to your transaction, that right will be honoured according to the applicable law. Where no such right applies, cancellation is subject to the accepted commercial terms and the status of the order at the time the request is received.
4. Damaged, incorrect or defective products
Inspect the platform truck and its packaging when it is delivered. If an item arrives visibly damaged, materially differs from the accepted order, is missing an agreed component or appears defective, notify us promptly with enough information to identify the order and assess the issue.
We may request photographs of the product, packaging, shipping labels or affected component, together with a description of the problem. Depending on the circumstances and applicable legal rights, the appropriate remedy may include correction, replacement, repair, return or refund.
5. Return authorization
Do not ship a product back until return instructions have been provided. An unauthorized shipment may be difficult to identify, route or inspect and may delay resolution of the request.
When a return is authorized, we will provide the information reasonably required to identify the shipment and explain where the product is to be sent. Authorization to return an item does not by itself confirm that a refund is due; the returned product may need to be inspected against the reason for return and the applicable order terms.
6. Condition and packaging of returned products
Unless the return concerns damage, defect or another condition that makes this impracticable, returned products should be protected against additional damage during transport and should include the parts, accessories and documentation supplied with the item. Where original packaging remains usable, it should be retained and used where reasonably appropriate.
A customer requesting a discretionary return of a non-defective item may be responsible for loss in value caused by use, alteration, incomplete contents or damage occurring after delivery, subject always to applicable mandatory law.
7. Return freight and transport costs
Responsibility for return freight depends on the reason for the return, the accepted order terms and applicable law. Where the return results from an error attributable to us or from a product issue for which the law requires a remedy, we will communicate the applicable return arrangement. For an approved discretionary return of a non-defective item, transport or handling costs may remain the customer’s responsibility where permitted by law.
Please do not arrange freight on the assumption that charges will be reimbursed unless that arrangement has been confirmed in advance.
8. Inspection and resolution
After an authorized return is received, the product may be inspected to confirm its identity, condition and the reason for return. We will use the inspection together with the applicable order terms and legal requirements to determine the appropriate resolution.
If a replacement or correction is more appropriate than a refund, we will communicate the proposed next step. Nothing in this section reduces any mandatory remedy available to a customer under applicable law.
9. Refunds
Where a refund is approved, the amount will reflect the part of the transaction that is properly refundable under the applicable order terms and law. Taxes, freight or other charges will be included or excluded according to the reason for the refund and the legal requirements that apply to the transaction.
Approved refunds will be issued using the payment arrangement agreed for the order or another method agreed with the customer. Processing will occur within the period required by applicable law or, where no specific statutory period applies, within a reasonable administrative period after eligibility has been confirmed and any required return inspection has been completed.
10. Exchanges and replacements
An exchange or replacement may be offered where it appropriately resolves an incorrect, damaged or defective delivery or where the parties agree to a different configuration. Availability depends on the product and configuration required.
If a different product or configuration changes the price, freight or tax treatment, those differences will be communicated before the replacement arrangement is finalized.
11. Special configurations and order-specific terms
Some platform-truck orders may involve a particular deck size, caster arrangement, capacity requirement or other configuration. If an accepted order is subject to special return or cancellation conditions because of its configuration or sourcing, those conditions should be communicated as part of the order process.
Where an order-specific term conflicts with a mandatory consumer right, the mandatory legal right prevails.
12. Mandatory consumer rights in Canada
Refund and return rules are not identical across Canada. Provincial and territorial legislation may provide cancellation, refund or other remedies in particular circumstances, including certain online or remote transactions, unfair practices, non-delivery, defective goods or other regulated situations.
This policy is intended to describe our general commercial process, not to replace those statutory protections. Customers may also seek information from the consumer affairs authority responsible for their province or territory.
13. How to submit a return, refund or cancellation request
Contact JED Trolley using the details below and provide your name, order or request reference if available, the product and quantity involved, and a clear description of the requested resolution. For damage, defects or delivery discrepancies, include relevant photographs where practical so the issue can be assessed efficiently.

14. Policy updates
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our order process, product range or applicable legal requirements. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the version currently published on bcseedsdepot.com. A change to this published policy will not reduce a mandatory right that already applies to an existing transaction.
